The company says the headquarters, which could eventually be 10 times the size of the current campus, will include a flagship office building, a research-and-development center, a learning-and-development site and additional office and retail space.

The investment in the development is reported to be just under US$100 million.

Founded by brothers Jabbok and Willy Schlacks in 2014, the company has continued to operate from its base in Colombia, despite significant growth, with more than 140 branches now open across the US and more than 3,600 employees.

According to Willy Schlacks, President and Chief Product Officer, the decision to remain in Columbia was rooted in investing and building in the local community, reinforcing its commitment to Missouri.

Jabbok Shlacks, who is CEO, added; “When you’re able to start something really special in your hometown, you want it to grow there. We started with five people, and we’ve grown to more than 3,600.

“We’re grateful our story will continue to grow with Columbia at its center.”

Construction of the headquarters is expected to begin in the next few months, and will be carried out in phases, the company said.

EquipmentShare, which aims to modernise the construction business through jobsite technology and equipment rental, also announced that it has been awarded the 2022 Construction Executive Top Construction Technology Firm Award.

The award, handed out by Construction Executive, was received due to its cloud-connected T3 platform, which the company describes as platform that allows contractors to monitor every aspect of their machinery’s usage and make data-driven decisions.

EquipmentShare has attributed its growth, and the subsequent expansion of its headquarters to T3, and describes it as ‘one of the company’s key differentiators.’
