ERA conducts membership survey to review priorities

10 December 2012

The European Rental Association (ERA) is conducting a membership survey in order to establish the organisation’s priorities as it prepares for next year’s change in leadership.

Current president Gérard Déprez ends his tenure as president of the association at the ERA General Assembly on 16 May 2013 next year, during the ERA Convention in Paris, and a new board of directors will also be voted in.

In preparation for that, the ERA is asking all members to complete a survey asking questions about future priorities, the usefulness of the resources that it has developed in the past, and other questions relating to the annual convention, the various technical committees and the benefits of membership.

The survey, for members only, can be completed online at:

Michel Petitjean, ERA’s secretary general, writing to members, said; “As a members-driven organisation, it is important for us to know what you believe our priorities should be in the future and how in your opinion the ERA can concretely support the European rental industry.

He said the first member survey in 2010 “led notably to the creation of our Committee on Equipment Technology and Theft and the change in scope of the EU Affairs Committee (renamed Health and Safety Committee to reflect its new priorities).

ERA said the results will be published at the end of March 2013.
