ERA gives support to IRE rental show

19 March 2008

The European Rental Association (ERA) has confirmed its official support of the new international rental exhibition to be held in Amsterdam in June 2008. The first International Rental Exhibition (IRE) will take place on 3-5 June and will coincide with ERA's annual convention.

ERA hopes that the new event will provide a focus on equipment rental and an opportunity for suppliers to show equipment dedicated to the rental market. Compact equipment and tools will be the main products on show, as well as specialist services such as software and asset tracking systems.

Gérard Deprez, president of the European Rental Association, said, “The time is right for a new rental event in Europe, and the ERA is putting its full support behind the International Rental Exhibition in Amsterdam. We will be looking to bring together the whole rental industry under one roof. This is a great opportunity for the European, regional and international rental industries.”

The event is being organised by Netherlands exhibitions organiser Industrial Promotions International (IPI) and is officially supported by International Rental News (IRN) magazine.

The IRE show will replace the former RentEX event that previously took place alongside the APEX aerial platform exhibition in Maastricht. Next year's APEX show-dedicated to all forms of access equipment-will take place in Maastricht, The Netherlands, on 17-19 September, 2008.
