ERA issues two new documents

01 March 2017

The Technical Committee of ERA has issued two documents – the ERA Recommendations on tie down and lifting points and the Framework of quick guides.

Both documents are to be considered by OEMs as the recommendation and requirement from the European equipment rental industry.

The documents were prepared by rental company members of the Technical Committee at the start of the year, following face-to-face meetings during Bauma, Germany last year.

The objectives were to create joint documentation to give OEMs a recommendation in relation to tie down/lifting points and lifting pockets, and to provide an overview with all the necessary items to be explained in quick guides for the operators of rental machines.

Both documents are available on the ERA website, http://erarental.org/en/publications/position-papers-and-guidance-to-industry/era-recommendations-on-tie-down-and-lifting-points and http://erarental.org/en/publications/position-papers-and-guidance-to-industry/framework-of-quick-guides
