The European Rental Association (ERA) has published a new guide to equipment rental that aims to help the industry attract new customers and explain rental to government organisations, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders in the business.

The 40-page Discover Rental guide - written by the ERA's Promotions Committee chaired by former MVS Zeppelin executive Jorg Bachmann - explains the financial and operational benefits of rental, describes what equipment can be rented and how to choose a rental company, and includes sections on sustainability and rental‘s place in the overall economy.

Mr Bachmann said the guide will help rental companies explain rental to new customers and industries as well as to organisations such as rental company shareholders, regulatory bodies and others.

The guide will be available free to its members as a download from the ERA website and ERA will also be prepared to translate the document if there is demand.

Discover Rental was distributed to ERA members at the ERA Convention, taking place at the RAI exhibition centre in Amsterdam on 7-9 June.

For more information on the guide, and to obtain copies, contact the ERA through its website: www.erarental.org
