Eurosafe Solutions has held a free harness and lanyard training session at its purpose-built training centre in the UK.

The half-day course, attended by 12 professionals including roofing contractors, builders and maintenance, covered harness and lanyard training and provided delegates with the knowledge required to choose the right harness, fit it correctly and wear it safely.

It also gave contracts and maintenance staff an overview of relevant health and safety laws and regulations surrounding harnesses, as well as the chance to achieve recognised harness training certification, which is valid for a three year period.

Eighteen months ago, Eurosafe Solutions opened its dedicated training suite, which includes a number of indoor roofing rigs where practical demonstrations and assessments take place for the safe use of fall protection systems.

Andy Jennings, training manager at Eurosafe Solutions, said, “We had some great feedback to our training centre, with many delegates saying they didn’t realise it was so well equipped and we look forward to hosting more events of this type in the future.”
