Facelift Access Hire has added nine new Multitels to its fleet with a range of platform heights from 17 m to 30 m. The UK company said, along with its collection of Niftylifts and Falcon Spiders, it now has the largest range of tracked booms in the UK.

Among the models from Multitel are four SMX 170s, two SMX 225s, two SMX 250s and one SMX 300.

The Multitel tracked booms were chosen due to their light weight and versatility, with the SMX 170 and SMX 225 both weighing 2500kg or under and are light enough to be towed by a 4x4 vehicle on a trailer, said Facelift.

All machines have a small turning circle, are powered by a Kubota three cylinder water cooled diesel engine for outdoor work and an electric motor for indoor use as standard, and the low profile aluminium boom design means they are stable when tracking across uneven surfaces.
