The Indonesian branch of Italian heavy lifting and transport company Fagioli has announced the successful completion of the first part of a bridge installation.

PT Fagioli Lifting and Transportation Indonesia loaded the central span of the bridge onto a barge in Surabaya, Java Island, Indonesia.

The bridge weighed over 2,000 tonnes and measured 128 metres long.

The barge then sailed to Jayapura, Papua, Indonesia, where it was lifted off using four Fagioli strand jacks, providing a total lift capacity of 4,800 tonnes.
