Falcon Lifts - 4 Hire 4hire’s Falcon FS420 double crawler spider

The Channel Islands’ largest tracked access platform has arrived at rental company 4Group, on Jersey.

The Falcon FS420 double crawler spider lift is the first unit Falcon Lifts has delivered to Jersey, and it was received by Wojciech Duszkiewicz and Nicky Horsfall, both directors at 4hire, part of 4Group.

Designed to carry out the most demanding access tasks both indoors and outdoors, the FS420’s double track design offers optimum off-road capability, says the company, combined with its minimum width of 1.22m for easy operation indoors. For indoor operation the Falcon is equipped with a battery pack.

Falcon Lifts received the inquiry for the lift back in earkly 2020, for a residential development project. Brian Falck-Schmidt, Falcon sales director, said, “At this early stage we had our experienced technical team in close cooperation with the development project team, advising and verifying which access solution could solve the need for maintaining the building complex.”

“After some discussions we ended up with a rental solution - the Falcon 420 Double Track, and now finally 2.5 years later we are very pleased to deliver the Falcon which will be available for rental also to solve other assignments on Jersey.”

The unit is also equipped with a unique double fly-jib facility which allows the operator to work in difficult to reach areas where other types of MEWPs are unable to access. The Falcon 420 Double Track has a working height of 42m and a maximum outreach of 20m. The model also comwes with a GSM service module and onboard diagnostic system.
