Austria-based transport and lifting company Felbermayr, from Wels, has expanded its fleet of equipment for transporting wind turbines.

The investment in Nooteboom equipment further strengthens Felbermayr's position in this industry where it has landed a contract for the transport and assembly of Vestas wind energy installations in various European countries.

The specialist transport solutions include three 4-axle triple extendible Telesteps for transporting rotor blades.

There are also four Mega Windmill Transporters (MWT) for tower sections and nacelles.

The Mega Windmill Transporters are composed of 3-axle and 4-axle jeep dollies and 7-axle self-steering dollies and have LIFTAD-100 lift adaptors.
