A consortium led by Spanish group Ferrovial, through its subsidiary Ferrovial Agroman, has won a US$ 1.396 billion contract to design, build and finance the new Route 460 highway in Virginia, US.

The US 460 Mobility Partners, comprised of Ferrovial Agroman and American Infrastructure, will construct the 55 mile (88.5 km) highway.

The project is a four-lane toll road between the cities of Petersburg and Suffolk. It will run parallel with the existing Route 460 and connect with seven other roads.

The design and right of way work will be conducted in 2013 and construction will start in 2014. The highway will open to traffic in 2018. A non-profit corporation will operate the toll collection.
