First SAF-T conference during SIA

AWPT Membership Director Tony Groat (above) will speak at the first annual Safe Access, Fall Protection & Training (SAF–T) Conference on July 20, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach, CA.

The one–day conference is scheduled immediately after the Scaffold Industry Association's (SIA) Annual Conference. Groat's presentation will address changes made in the 2006 version of the ANSI standards A92.3 (Manually Propelled Elevating Work Platforms), A92.5 (Boom–Supported Elevating Work Platforms) and A92.6 (Self–Propelled Elevating Work Platforms).

He will also discuss A92.2 (Vehicle–Mounted Elevating and Rotating Aerial Devices) and identify any issues that may be lagging on this standard that was last reviewed in 2001.

Keynote speaker is renowned safety expert and motivational speaker Bruce Wilkinson. Other speakers include Jeff Stachowiak of Sunbelt Rentals, Robert Vetter of Ives Training Group, Joseph Feldstein of MSA North America, and Brad Boehler of Skyjack. The event is organized by Maximum Capacity Media.
