Silber joined the Herc Rentals in May 2015 and was instrumental in leading the equipment rental company to becoming public in July 2016. Before joining Herc, he served as an executive advisor at Court Square Capital Partners, LLP from 2013-2015.

Joining Silber at the day-long event will be Karin Nars, managing director of Dinolift and newly appointed president of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF.) Nars is the association’s first female president and follows the presidential footsteps of her father.

Speaking at IPAF’s recent AGM, Nars said, “I take special pride in being the first woman elected President of IPAF. Lasse Godenhielm, my father, who was the President of IPAF at the turn of the millennium, always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and work hard. I never doubted I could reach my dreams because I was a woman. That’s why I would like every girl and young woman who wants to work in our industry to be offered that chance and to receive the support to do so. I believe IPAF is in a good position to promote equal opportunities for all – and I aim to use my voice as president to promote such a program.”

Also on board to present is Steve Stine, controls engineering manager for WIKA Mobile Control. Stine will discuss telehandler standards (existing and future) and how these could impact machine design, engineering and use in the coming years.

Organized by Access, Lift & Handlers and its publisher, KHL Group, the day-long ALH Conference covers key topics for the access and rental industry in North America, including economic forecasts, rental technology, product trends, cost of ownership issues and more. This will be the first in-person ALH Conference since 2019, having hosted the last two events digitally due to travel constraints related to the global pandemic.
