Laboratory analysis can accurately determine fluid condition.

JLG now offers a fluid analysis service as part of preventative maintenance programmes for its customers' aerial work platforms and telehandlers in North America. The service complements the company's Ground Support programme and is part of JLG's Extended Warranty Program.

"This testing procedure allows equipment owners to evaluate the status of their equipment and thus proactively schedule service or replace components prior to their failure," said Chris Mellott, vice president Ground Support.

The service is available for engine oil and coolant, oil in other machine components, and hydraulic oil. The Oshkosh company said knowing the condition of these fluids can help owners reduce operating costs and increase resale value.

JLG uses testing laboratories in Houston, TX; Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Indianapolis, IN; and Salt Lake City, UT. It also sells sampling equipment and supplies through its Aftermarket Parts Team.
