Former WUMAG executive Rolf Kulawik has been appointed the new managing director of Ruthmann GmbH & Co, the German truck mounted aerial platform manufacturer.

Mr Kulawik, a 26 year veteran at WUMAG before taking on the job as head of Ruthmann's Service division in July last year, takes over from joint managing directors Heinrich Winkelmann and Heinz-Jürgen Buss.

Mr Winkelmann and Mr Buss remain as majority owners of Ruthmann, but are moving to take charge of operations at Winkelmann Group following the death in early May of Mr Winkelmann's father, who had been running the company. Winkelmann Group is a €400 million supplier in the automotive and heating technology sectors.

Ruthmann has also promoted Uwe Stapper and Uwe Strotmann to assist Mr Kulawik. Mr Kulawik was production supervisor and managing director at WUMAG.

The Winkelmann family took majority ownership and management control of Ruthmann in 2003.
