Egypt’s Alexandria Passengers Transport Authority (APTA) of took delivery of a tramway maintenance truck from France Élévateur during July this year.

It is one of two custom-made machines ordered by the authority and mounted on a 18000 kg GVW MAN truck for the Alexandria tramway. They feature a 3500 volt insulated platform, which is 3000 mm in length, 2200 mm wide. It has a 500kg load capacity and a working height of 8m. Also supplied, on the request of the client, is a Fassi F95A knuckle boom crane with a two-person fiberglass work basket, allowing it to be used as a crane and a lift.

“The second machine will be out of our factory very soon and the client will be able to enjoy it before the end of 2015. It is an immense pleasure to supply APTA and we look forward to a long collaboration,” said a company spokesman.
