Crawler crane manufacturer Fuwa Heavy Industry Co in China is testing a new range-topping 1,250 tonne capacity lattice boom crawler crane.

The QUY1250 underwent a 125% overload test in May in the presence of the customer, Fuwa distributors and officials of Liaoning Province. It will be shown at the Bauma China exhibition in Shanghai in November. Another new crawler crane between the 500 and 1,250 tonners is in development.

Rated capacity is 1,250 tonnes to 8 m radius with main boom and super lift. Maximum boom and luffing jib configuration is 96 + 108 m. Power is from a 641 kW Cummins engine driving a Rexroth hydraulic system.

Fuwa, established in 1904, already offers crawler cranes up to 500 tonnes capacity and a new factory is under construction near Shenyang to accommodate domestic and international demand.
