Gantry and bridge crane transport

01 September 2020

Dubai, United Arab Emirates-headquartered end-to-end logistics service provider Fleet Line Shipping safely transported several gantry and bridge cranes, measuring up to 42 metres long and weighing up to 29 tonnes, from Shanghai, China, to Abu Dhabi, UAE.

For the job Fleet Line Shipping chartered a geared vessel and, following discharge of the cranes in Jebel Ali, UAE, arranged road haulage to the consignee premises in Abu Dhabi. A key challenge was obtaining police and escort permission for the movement of several 42 metres-long dolly trailers in a single night so as to avoid truck detention.
