Genie restructures GAS sales team

Terex AWP has appointment Lars Raagaard as sales director for Genie in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (GAS region).

Based near Copenhagen, Denmark, and reporting directly to Jacco de Kluijver, VP sales and marketing for Terex AWP in the EMEAR region, Lars Raagaard remains responsible for the Danish and Icelandic market.

“The GAS market has developed significantly over the last couple of years. To make sure we provide our customers with the responsive level of support they rely on, this new organisation is the next step, enhancing the services and lifecycle management of the innovative Genie product offering throughout the GAS region”, says Jacco de Kluijver.

To achieve this, Genie employees Markus Happ will become strategic accounts manager in Germany and Austria, while Uwe Wiedemeier will be responsible for the north of Germany, and Christian Lohnhardt South Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They all report directly to Mr Raagaard.

Mr de Kluijver added, “Lars has worked for Genie for over 10 years and in this time has displayed a wealth of experience and displayed strong strategic and analytic skills. Furthermore he has knowledge of the German culture and language having worked for a German company prior to joining Genie.”
