Get set for 2018 Commonwealth Games

By Steve Ducker29 July 2015

Planning and procurement has already begun for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia (pictured).

With several contracts on offer, the Australian Hire and Rental Industry Association is already talking to the organiser Goldoc and is urging interested member companies to register on the official ICN Gateway procurement site.

The Games, which take place every four years, are open to all countries from the British Commonwealth. The previous Games, in Scotland last year, were a £600 million (€840 million) project. Among the companies who benefitted were the GAP Group, which supplied temporary fencing and crowd control barriers for road events.
