Give dust and dirt the boot

Manufacturers of control and handling equipment can now get a protective boot for the Penny and Giles JC120 single axis fingertip joystick. The boot is designed to protect against the ingress of dust and dirt. It is made from Neoprene to resist deterioration caused by contact with fats, oils, grease and other petroleum-based products. With the boot fitted the JC120 is sealed to IP67.

The joystick is 26.5 mm wide or 28.5 mm with the boot fitted and has a pivoting lever design that provides one axis of forward and reverse movement and a spring-return to centre. Electrical connections are via a seven-pin Milox 70553 series latching male connector on the joystick base.
