Redevelopment of the Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield, London, UK will begin in the spring of this year following planning consent by Enfield Council’s planning committee.

Enabling works for the £150 million (€193.6 million) redevelopment have begun, with completion of the healthcare building said to be completed in the summer of 2018.

The redevelopment – designed by architects IBI Group, TB&A and Thomasons – comprises a five-storey hospital including an urgent care centre, inpatients, eight theatres, day surgery, outpatient ambulatory care zone, imaging, diagnostics and supporting facilities.

IBI Group has also designed new housing and a new school in the area, while allowing for the future development of a new energy centre and multi-storey car park.
