Goeyvaerts adds Konecranes harbour crane

A Konecranes mobile harbour crane has been ordered by Goeyvaerts

Belgium-based harbour crane rental firm Goeyvaerts-R bvba (Goeyvaerts) has ordered a mobile harbour crane from Finnish crane manufacturer Konecranes.

Goeyvaerts ordered a G HMK 7608 Model 7. It is a diesel-electric crane with a capacity of 150 tonnes and an outreach up to 54 metres. It will be used in the Port of Antwerp to handle containers and heavy cargo by Goeyvaerts’s customers.

Rudi Goeyvaerts, Goeyvaerts CEO, commented, “We started our rental crane business in 2006. Due to the growing need for container twin-lifting and heavy cargo handling, our customers increasingly require larger cranes. The new Konecranes Gottwald Model 7 will provide a higher lifting capacity and a wider outreach than our existing machines and will therefore be an excellent addition to our current fleet of 14 Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour cranes.”
