Spanish rental company Grúas Estación has added a 104m Bronto S104HLA platform to its fleet.

Grúas Estacion carries out its activities in the Galicia region, in the north of Spain, and has more than 400 rental units. The S104HLA is the largest aerial platform in its fleet, and in all of Spain.

Bronto Skylift S104HLA Gruas Estacion takes delivery of a 104m working height Bronto Skylift S104HLA.

With a six-section main boom and three-section jib, the S104HLA offers an outreach of 33m and a working height of 104m. Cranes Estación chose an extendable basket, with a safe working load of 600kg and hydraulic extension to 3.7m. Mounted on an eight axle Volvo FMX 540 chassis, the S104HLA has a gross vehicle weight of just over 63 tonnes.

The unit delivered in early June and put into operation immediately. Delivery was handled by Bronto’s longstanding dealer and service partner LKW Lift. With 20 years of experience, LKW guaranteed the 104m machine will remain in perfect condition.

Carlos Mosquera Portas, technical director of Grúas Estacion, commented,“Galicia has more than 150 wind farms in operation, which creates a maintenance and repair market that has driven our decision to acquire machinery to meet these needs.

“Bronto platforms score highly in terms of safety and reliability, while LKW is also a reliable partner when it comes to service and support. The new Bronto will keep us busy throughout the summer with a number of back-to-back jobs, which means that staff can spend weeks on the road without having to return to base.”
