The Global Rental Alliance (GRA) announced Japan Construction Rental Association (JCRA) as its latest member at its 15th annual meeting, held at The Rental Show in Orlando, Florida.

The meeting also included a review of the global survey initiative, held by the GRA, which recorded 2015 combined rental revenues of US$91.5 billion (€85.86 billion) among its members.

The combined rental revenue figure includes JCRA for the first time.

Another topic discussed was the economic forecast for the members’ associated countries for 2017, and the level of rental penetration.

The GRA said that all associations were committed to increasing rental penetration on behalf of their membership through their program work.

Tony Conant, American Rental Association’s (ARA) CEO, said, “The Global Rental Alliance continues to be a valuable forum for industry and association representatives from around the world to engage on key issues that impact rental/hire operators.”
