Gril 8500TL new from Locatelli

A new mobile crane from Italy is the Locatelli Gril 8500TL. This 50 tonne capacity rough terrain is designed to give good capacity from a compact package with its five section boom that telescopes from 9.47 to 37.2 m. Power is from a Cummins QSB6.7 diesel.

Configured with 5 tonne counterweight and 50 tonne hook block the overall dimensions of the Gril 8500TL for transport are 10,895 x 2,540 x 3,480 mm. It has four steering modes for good manoeuvrability. Tyres are 16.00 R25 earthmover type and maximum travel speed is 37 km/h.

Another feature is the tilting cab to give a better view of the load and the control system for stability and load conditions can accommodate different outrigger extension where maximums are automatically set for a particular configuration. It prevents the risk of human error, according to the manufacturer. A GPS location function can be included with the electronic system.
