Rental utilisation rates in the Gulf region are improving and in some cases are reaching 90 to 95% according to Mr Nabil Salim, director of the region’s AAA Construction Equipment.

Speaking at the Intermat Middle East Exhibition in Abu Dhabi, which opened today, Mr Salim said that the market which collapsed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) now shows reasonable growth.

To help service the new investments, AAA recently strengthened its presence in the UAE with the establishment of an Abu Dhabi subsidiary AAA Construction Equipment , and AAA Construction Equipment Rental.

At the Intermat Middle East exhibition, AAA showed a 280 tonne IHI CCH2800 crawler crane, a 70 tonne IHI CCH700 crawler crane, a IHI 50 NX3 mini excavator, a low noise Nippon Sharyo generator and a used Tadano crane.

The second Intermat Middle East exhibition and conference is being held between October 8 and 10 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This year’s event is being held under the Patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Federal Minister of Public Works.
