H&E opens new Baton Rouge facility

10 December 2012

H&E Equipment Services, Inc. (H&E) has opened a new facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after merging its Baton Rouge and Gonzales stores into a larger, purpose-built facility.

The new store offers 44,000 sq ft (13,400 m2) of office and shop space, on 15 acres of property. The new Baton Rouge outlet offers a larger inventory of new, used and rental equipment. In addition, a large portion of the new building has been devoted to the product support side of the business with 18 service bays and a 9,200 sq ft (2,800 m2) parts warehouse.

“Due to growth, and the close proximity of both stores, it makes a lot of operational sense to combine these two locations into one operation. The efficiencies we gain will improve customer service, expand our product support and service capabilities, grow our rental fleet, and help ensure success for our next 50 years,” commented Jeff Stringer, H&E Baton Rouge branch manager.

The Baton Rouge facility is one of nine full-service branch facilities in Louisiana, specializing in rentals, sales, parts, service and training for earthmoving equipment, cranes, aerial lifts and general construction equipment. In Louisiana, H&E is the authorized dealer for brands such as Komatsu, Manitowoc, Grove, Manitex, JLG, Genie, Wirtgen, Takeuchi and Gomaco.
