Hanson has acquired Marshalls Clay Products from Marshalls plc for UK£ 65 million (€92 million). The company manufactures clay bricks and paving blocks at four locations in Northern England. It employs 350 people and produces around 160 million brick equivalents per year. Hanson has also announced that Mike Welton, former head of Balfour Beatty is its new chairman.
