Today (23 October) Haulotte announced its third quarter sales results: consolidated sales for this quarter were €118.1 million compared to €127.1 million last year. This brings sales for the first nine months of 2008 to €376.8 million a 10% decline from the same period in 2007.

This quarter's sales figures include €12.3 million from the newly acquired Bil-Jax business.

Haulotte says that while the revenue from markets outside Europe continued to grow (up 19%) and sales from services was up 35% this was not sufficient to offset the 13% fall in equipment sales.

In the current economic environment Haulotte felt unable to issue updated guidance for 2008

Last year 2007 was a terrific growth year for Haulotte in the first nine month consolidated sales had grown 29% and third quarter sales grew of 16.2%. Adjusting for the €12.3 million contributed by Bil-Jax, sales for the third quarter 2008 are down 3% on 2006 figures.
