Help for rigging and construction

Snatch blocks with hooks, with shackles and snatch block tailboards with lifting capacities from 1,814 to 13,608 kg have been introduced for rigging in construction. JC Renfroe & Sons' Renfroe snatch blocks have a movable side plate, which allows rope insertion while they are hanging.

The blocks have hot forged alloy steel hooks, so they would straighten out rather than break before they fail, according to the manufacturer. Every block has a swivel pin stop that stays in place while reeving and the snatch block's safety latch prevents disconnection from the anchor point and gives a visual sign of overload. The design allows the sleeve bearing to be lubricated without having to disassemble the snatch block.
