Hertz Equipment has launched a mobile version of its website that can be accessed from site using a smartphone.

Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC) has launched a mobile version of its website that allows customers on site to conduct business with HERC directly from their smartphone.

The mobile site offers customers a full equipment catalogue, allows users to submit rental requests, find the nearest HERC location and contact the company directly from their phone. There is no need to download a special Application (‘App').

"We are excited to be on the forefront of offering customers a mobile solution for their equipment rental needs," said Gerry Plescia, HERC's executive vice president and president.

"As the latest technology enables our customers to do more with their mobile devices, they expect suppliers to do the same and offer more services through this channel. HERC's mobile site has been designed to allow customers to increase efficiencies while on a job site. With easy access to HERC, clients can raise their productivity."

HERC (www.hertzequip.com) has 250 locations in the US and Canada as well as operations in Europe, China and the Middle East.
