Hertz expands 'high potential' pump and power division

Hertz Equipment Rental Corp (HERC) has added four locations to its Pump & Power special division. The new branches are in Memphis, Detroit, Syracuse and San Diego.

HERC president Ms Lois Boyd said the Pump & Power division was an integral part of the company's growth strategy; "Our diverse line of equipment includes a wide variety of pump and power equipment and enables us to tap deeper into these high potential markets."

Hertz Pump & Power has dedicated locations in North America and also has operations in Europe (France and Spain) and China.

Its product range includes pumps, compressors, generators, cable and distribution as well as HVAC products and services. Pumps sizes are up to 30 inches, and the product range includes 20 kW towable units and 2 MW containerised generators. Its heating and cooling equipment includes 2 million BTU units and 500 t chillers.

Pump & Power is just one of HERC's specialist divisions. Others include Plant services, National accounts and Entertainment services.
