Hiab expands XS loader range

06 May 2008

New from hydraulic loader crane manufacturer Hiab are three new models in the XS series. First, in the 7 to 10 tonne metre class, is the XS 099, which has an outreach of more than 14 m with five hydraulic extensions. It has the Valve 80 main control valve, the choice of manual or remote control, and the CL, Duo or HiDuo control system.

There is an optional boom link to make the second boom move at a constant speed for smoother and more precise operation. Another option is a first boom link to increase capacity in high boom positions. Also an option is a short outer boom to increase lifting height when loading close to the column.

Next, is the mid-range XS 244, in the 20 to 24 tonne-metre class aimed at heavy duty applications, for example, digging. Outreach with eight hydraulic extensions is 21 m and either the CL, Duo, HiDuo or HiPro control systems can be specified.

It has an E-link to increase capacity when handling heavy loads close to the column. To increase the lifting capacity even more a P-boom, with up to five extensions, can be specified as an option.

The third new model is the XS 322 in the 27 to 32 tonne-metre range. It is another heavy duty model, with design features that include large slider pads to decrease wear on the boom system, and JIC couplings to reduce servicing time. Maximum capacity at 21 metres is 800 kg, and the outreach can be increased to 26 m by ordering a 70X-4 jib.
