Bromma is about to deliver the first unit of its Tandem Quattro high-capacity crane spreader to the APM Terminal, a port in Algeciras, Spain. It is capable of lifting four 20 foot (6 m) containers, two 40 foot (12 m) containers or two 45 foot (13.7 m), containers, at a time.

The model has a lifting capacity of two times 51 tonnes or four times 32.5 tonnes and weighs 24 tonnes, seven tonnes less than sister product the Tandem T45.

”The Tandem Quattro is feature rich,• added the company. It can separate 20 foot (6 m) containers longitudinally between 0 and 1.6 m. Separating speed is 100 mm in 10 seconds and skewing speed is 1 degree in 20 seconds.

”The spreader design has a further advantage: the ability to do side shift on individual spreaders, which is especially useful when the chassis or container on the ground is not fully lined up on the longitudinal direction,• added Bromma. • For more information see www.bromma.com
