Italian manufacturer Hinowa has launched its first truck mount, the Orchid Lift 21.11 at Intermat. Susanne Landstorfer, from Hinowa's marketing and export department told Access International that the Orchid Lift had already generated interest from Hinowa's existing aerial platform customers as well as new customers familiar with truck mounted platforms.

The Orchid Lift has a working height of 21 m and a 10.6 m outreach. It is expected to be particularly appealing to users carrying out maintenance work, installation of traffic signs, lighting applications, tree surgery and painting.

Using its experience of aerial platform manufacture, Hinowa has manufactured a boom to mount on a 3.5t Nissan Cabstar. Two pantograph arms, a jib and the basket rotation provide flexibility in reaching the work site.

The hydraulic stabilisers can be controlled from the basket and be configured either open or "in shape" the latter of which remain within the dimensions of the chassis for a small footprint where space is limited.
