Hitachi's new compaction range is being launched at the IRE show in Amsterdam.

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) (HCME) is entering the European compaction market with a range of rammers, vibratory plates and rollers.

The new machines, made by Hitachi at its Camino factory in Japan, will be launched to the market at the International Rental Exhibition (IRE), taking place this week at the Amsterdam RAI exhibition centre in the Netherlands.

HCME said the range will be offered to its European customers, adding to the excavators, wheel loaders and dump trucks that it is best known for. The compaction equipment will be of particular interest to equipment rental companies in Europe, many of whom will already operate Hitachi excavators.

Hitachi already producies compaction equipment for customers in Japan, but this is the first time it has offered a range for Europe.

The range includes ZV-R, ZV-RL and ZV-RLS rammers; the ZV-P and reversible ZV-PR vibratory plates. Another machine is the TMR-65 small walk behind roller.

Joep van den Maagdenberg, a product specialist at Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe), said, “Compaction equipment is a significant addition to the wide range of Hitachi construction machinery now available in the European market.

“We look forward to unveiling the new models at the IRE in Amsterdam and will be interested to hear the feedback from visitors to our stand.”
