Hitachi looks to consolidate in one of its strongest European markets

Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) has expanded its distribution network in Italy, signing agreements with six new dealers.

The new structure came into effect on December 1, with KMI in Calabria and Puglia, WR57 in Emilia Romagna; Franco Clo, Salomoni and Comac in the north east; and Massucco T in the north west.

These dealers will operate in addition to SCAI, HCME’s long-term dealer partner in Italy, which operates in Lombardia and in central and southern regions of the country.

HCME President Makoto Yamazawa, said, “The new distribution structure in Italy will help to enhance our performance in terms of sales and support, as we will be better placed to serve our customers, and respond to their individual needs locally and nationally.”

He added, “We recognise that Italy is one of the most important markets in Europe. By strengthening our distribution network, we intend to add value to the customer experience by offering a wide range of solutions and services, enabling contractors to build on the success of their businesses and activities.”
