29 January 2014

Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) has signed up as an exhibitor at the International Rental Exhibition (IRE), taking place at the RAI exhibition centre in Amsterdam on 24-26 June this year.

The company joins dozens of other suppliers who will showcase their equipment to the rental sector at the show. Confirmed exhibitors including Hilti, Kaeser, Terex Compact, Thwaites Dumpers, Yanmar Construction Equipment, Himoinsa, Husqvarna and Towerlight.

The IRE show will take place at the same venue and dates as the APEX aerial platform exhibition, which will break records for exhibitor numbers and space. Exhibitors include Terex AWP (Genie), JLG Industries, Manitou, Merlo, Bronto Skylift, Palfinger Platforms, Ruthmann, Skyjack, Dinolift, Multitel Pagliero, MEC and Holland Lift.

The IRE show will also be held concurrently with the European Rental Association’s annual Convention and the European Rental Awards.

For more information on the IRE exhibition, visit www.IREShow.com. To enter the European Rental Awards download the entry form from www.khl.com/rentalawards. The deadline for entries is Friday 21 February.

The programme for the ERA Convention is now being finalised – see www.erarental.org for updates.

The convention attracts as many as 350 delegates, many of whom are senior figures at major European rental companies.

Michel Petitjean, ERA secretary general, said the IRE show "will allow purchase managers of rental companies to discover products customised for rental, and get to know innovative suppliers of all sizes which they may not be familiar with.”

Vesa Koivula, president of the ERA and CEO of Cramo, writing in the January issue of IRN, said; “The several thousand visitors to APEX and IRE will be able to visit both exhibitions. This combination – supplemented by our annual convention - provides a unique opportunity for exhibitors to meet rental buyers and professionals interested in purchasing and discovering new equipment and services at the same venue in only three days.”

This will be the third time that the IRE show will be held, each time at the Amsterdam RAI. The first event was held in 2008 and the second took place in 2011.
