Hundreds of Hiabs for US Army

Loader crane manufacturer Hiab has secured a Euro 15 million order for 428 loader cranes from BAE Systems, Inc. in the US.

The Hiab 133AT-2 cranes will be installed on the US Army's Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV).

Deliveries start in the fourth quarter of 2008 and continue through 2009.

Hiab is owned by Cargotec, which also owns crane builders Mac Gregor and Kalmar. Cargotec sales are more than Euro 3 billion ($4 billion) and there are around 12,000 employees.
