Las Vegas is the industry focus next month for the ConExpo exhibition and the town is also the scene of a large amount of ongoing construction work, much of it involving casino construction. Pictured is the high profile 26 storey (105 m) Caesars Palace II tower construction project. The fast track contract allows 11 months to complete the superstructure, but rapid delivery and a streamlined method of working are helping contractor Perini Building Co to maintain the aggressive schedule to the point where completion is anticipated three months early. When the tower opens it will bring the total number of rooms at Caesars Palace to more than 3300. To find out more about the ConExpo exhibition see the comprehensive show guide starting on page 22 in this issue of IC.
