Cover story - construction of the Shopping Plaza shopping centre at Hamburg airport in Germany involved the services of several mobile cranes. Five large steel trusses (62 tonnes, 102 m long) had to be lifted into position. As the main lifter Hannover-based crane rental house Nolte used a 750 tonne capacity Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom mobile crane. The lifts were made at 56 m radius with 35 m main boom, 56 m luffing jib, and 250 tonnes of counterweight.

Work had to be done at night so that it did not interfere with flights.

The job was supported by Liebherr LTM 1500, LTM 1300/1 and LTM 1100 all terrain cranes.
