CHINA ACLA, the Hong Kong-based master planning and urban planning division of Hyder Consulting, has been named the winner of an invited international competition to develop a concept master plan for the “Window to China” project in Beijing. The mixed-use development by Zhong Hong Group, Beijing is being touted as a major centre for trade and commerce for Beijing and China. Covering about 53 ha, it will include conference and exhibition facilities and a business park, offices, a five star hotel, a commercial areas and a “Government Services Centre”. Architect for the winning competition entry was Hong Kong-based, RAD Architects.
