Time Manufacturing has launched the Skybird 215I insulated truck mount at the ICUEE show in Louisville, as well as a cable stringer and updates to its VST series.

The Skybird project is a joint venture between Time and Ruthmann, utilising the strengths of both companies to create a 66 m working height insulated aerial lift that complies with ANSI A92.2 cat. A, 500 kV.

The Skybird 215I has a five-stage telescopic lower boom with a side mounted, insulated telescopic upper boom. Besides the telescopic upper boom, other unique features of the insulated unit include variable maximum outreach relative to platform load and a combined platform and material handler capacity of 600 kg.

The Skybird 215I boasts a 32 m maximum outreach with a 100 kg load, along with fibre optics controls with two joysticks and a clear text display for error diagnostics and sensor outputs.

Another new addition to the Versalift product line is the new cable placer VTP-40. Built solely for cable stringing, the model has 12 m working height, 9 m outreach and 158 kg platform capacity. The platform is auto-levelling.

The Versalift VST series is being upgraded and innovations in design have improved the platform capacity significantly on the existing VST-5000, 5500 and 6000 units. New additions to the series are the next generation models VST-6300, 6600 and 7100 providing up to 23.6 m of working height.

They are being unveiled at the L 116 Time Versalift stand in the large outside area L at the Kentucky Exposition Center. The show runs September 29 - October 1.
