IDE lunch date announced

The Institute of Demolition Engineers' Annual Luncheon will be held in Glaziers Hall on the side of the Thames in London on 18 November 2011.

The programme for the day will consist of the IDE AGM at 10: 45 in the Court Room (The AGM is open to all members. Booking for the AGM is not necessary). Pre-Lunch drinks will commence in the River Room at 12 noon, with the actual Luncheon in the Banqueting hall at 12.30 pm. The Luncheon will be followed by the IDE Awards ceremony.

Glaziers Hall is situated between the River Thames, with unrivalled views over the City, and London's cultural Southbank and Borough Market, The original Glaziers Hall in Fye Foot Lane was destroyed during the Great Fire of London in 1666 and not relocated for another 300 years. The present home, which was built in 1808 as a warehouse, adjoins London Bridge and the so-called 'Nancy Steps' made famous by Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist.
