At the ESTA general assembly meeting held on 15 April 2016, Iffet Türken, Kässbohrer’s board member for business development, was elected as the ESTA transport vice president.

Türken, commenting on her new role, said, “I’m very pleased with the general assembly’s decision on electing me as the transport vice president, a decision which will help to increase the visibility of women in the transportation industry. Our agenda is quite challenging. We are working to promote safety, quality and professionalism throughout the European heavy transport industry, where there are still inconsistencies within. It’s important for us to harmonise working practices and operational regulations to create an environment allowing cross-border heavy transport projects.”

The association is promoting safer working conditions and creating the opportunity for ESTA members to exchange information, allowing them to work together all over Europe.

Kässbohrer has been an ESTA member since 2012.
