Imer has appointed Sklad, a Nissan forklift dealer, as its second dealer in Russia. Based in Moscow, Sklad has 26 offices throughout Russia and specialises in equipment for the logistics and warehousing sectors.

Martin Connolly of Imer, which operates Iteco as its aerial platform division, said, "The Iteco strategy for Russia is two-fold. We have Tech-Stroy who is the Iteco distributor, specialising in construction and maintenance sectors, and now Sklad as a dedicated dealer, specialising in warehousing and logistics sectors.

"Both companies have strong customer bases, but as they operate in different sectors, it allows Iteco to gain maximum exposure to different market segments."

Sklad is one of the larest forklist suppliers in Russia, selling 1200 units in 2008.
