UK-based Morris Site Machinery has appointed Nick Avill as international sales director.

Mr Avill will lead the company’s international drive into overseas markets. His initial focus will be on refining which market sectors and regions to target and sales channels to use.

With a background in electrical engineering and heavy industry, Mr Avill brings to the post 28 years of experience working in sales and business development, working for small family-run companies up to multi-national corporations.

He has spent the last 15 years selling IT and communications products to customers around the world. He was head of sales and business development (EMEA) for Tait Radio Communications and more recently was export sales manager for Capita, the multinational company that provides business support services to private and public bodies.

Mr Avill will be based between the Wolverhampton HQ and Morris’s lighting tower manufacturing facility in Lincolnshire, with a large proportion of his time expected to be spent working overseas.
