International Construction’s July-August podcast

15 July 2014

In this month’s podcast iC editor Chris Sleight looks at a new forecast from The Freedonia Group, which says global residential construction will grow by +2.9% per year to reach 61.3 million units per year by 2013.

In business there is the latest on the proposed merger between Holcim and Lafarge, with the two companies publishing a list of assets they plan to divest to allay competition concerns from regulators.

This month’s podcast also features a discussion of iC’s annual survey of the world’s 200 largest construction companies, which is published in the July-August edition, and is also available to buy through the Information Store as a compendium of the last five years’ of studies.
