Holland lift has sold its first units into the South Africa for the first time, produced its 8000th machine and expanded its international sales team.

The two large, diesel-powered HL-275 models were delivered to Goscor Access Rental in March, one of the biggest rental companies on the continent. The first project for the machines will be in Cape Town, where Goscor requires large scissor lifts for the construction of a distribution centre. The South American market, like others around the world, is seeing a rapid increase in distribution centres as a result of the growing internet-driven economy.   George Landsberg, managing director of the Goscor Access Division said, “We are extremely excited about the new Holland Lift scissors coming into our fleet and look forward to adding even more. I have personally tested the first one to arrive and I was extremely impressed with its stability and overall performance.”

In other Holland Lift news, the manufacturer has this month produced its 8000th machine, a HL-190 H20. The unit will be displayed at this year’s APEX show, taking place 2-4 May at Amsterdam’s Rai exhibition centre. The HL-190 H20 includes parallel hybrid technology and enjoys the easy-use technologies of Holland Lift’s new modular line. After the show the lift, which has already been sold by distributor Rotator, will be delivered to its owner HRK in Finland.

Jacco Hartkoorn has joined the Holland Lift sales team, working with Benito Saporito, international sales manager, to expand and grow international markets. Mr Hartkoorn was previously sales and business development manager for wireless control systems companies Orlaco and Trimble, with a background in the AWP industry.   Welcoming him on board, Holland Lift managing director Eline Oudenbroek said, “Due to the high interest in our scissor lifts, we need more capacity in our sales team. Our clients deserve a personal approach and, in Jacco, we are adding an experienced sales manager with a fresh insight and exceptional understanding of the industry.”   Mr Hartkoorn added, “I am proud to join the Holland Lift sales team. I always admired the brand for its innovative design and high quality. I am looking forward to working with Benito and meeting existing and new customers, especially with APEX about to start soon in Amsterdam”.
